Dear All,
As you know, a diverse team of ICANN staff members and community are working
together on the Universal Acceptance of All TLDs effort. This project covers
all TLDs, including IDNs.
I apologize for not being able to attend previous JIG calls but appreciate
the opportunity to have met some of you in person in Costa Rica. As I've
been in communication with Bart, he informed me of your invitation to attend
the next JIG call that I gladly accepted. I will extend this invitation to
the other members on the team as well. In the meantime, I wanted to inform
you that we will be presenting on the topic at the 2012 North American
Regional gTLD Registry/ICANN-Accredited Registrar Event taking place in Los
Angeles on 17-18 May 2012. Our presentation is scheduled for 18 May 2012. If
some of you are planning to attend, I look forward to meeting you in person.
For those of you who are not attending this event, there is going to be a
remote participation, available at:
http://icann.adobeconnect.com/ryrr-regional/
Some of the additional speaking engagements that we are planning include
making presentations on the topic during the upcoming ICANN meeting in
Prague (at the ccNSO and ALAC sessions). Announcement on this should be
posted on www.icann.org shortly.
I look forward to getting your input and discussing possible ways on how we
can combine our efforts and work together on raising awareness about the
issue.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
Warm regards,
Nadia Sokolova
