CIRA Submission to the ICANN Consultation on LACRALO dated 22 November 2006

CIRA strongly endorses the ratification by ICANN of an MOU recognizing the
LACRALO. We believe this to be an important step in the evolution of ICANN
towards a more Transparent and Accountable organisation.

 

CIRA wishes to congratulate the individuals who have contributed to the
creation of the LACRALO and recognize their leadership as well as their
sustained and significant efforts that allowed them to be the first to
complete this process within the ICANN structure and thus lead the way for
others.

Point 5 of the English version of the Operating Principles refers to
"government". This is probably a translation error and should probably read
"governance" and should be corrected, if erroneous, before ratification by
the Board.
