Hi,
The proposed "Consolidated Meetings Proposal for 2014, 2015 and 2016", if
implemented, will organize an ICANN meeting in Latin America and the
Caribbean in 2016 in a period of three years.
This means there will be only one meeting in the region during three years,
much less than what has been the regular ICANN meeting rotation.
Having less meetings in Latin America and the Caribbean than before will
only enlarge the gap between regions engagement and participation, that
exists today and it is against the outreach and internationalization that
ICANN intends to do towards Latin America and Africa.
If cities and venues that can hold such a meeting are few, then the
meetings should be organized repeating venues and cities from the region in
those that are able to be used for such purpose.
