ICANN -
Most of the decisions that ICANN make on behalf of the international community are pretty well thought out. I heard today that
some sneaky big content folks are try to build in DMCA-style take-downs and seizures into .net tld. This is a terrible idea to be
done on an international level practically enforcing US-style big content provider's biggest dreams onto the world. Already,
government law enforcement are getting tired of being their henchmen; certainly, ICANN shouldn't force *any* domain registrar to
implement cumbersome and one-sided measures like this. They are always abused and fighting them in nearly impossible. If content
needs a place to bring down a website, within a judicial system where evidence can be submitted and facts is available.
Please leave controversial and unpopularly supported IP enforcement out of this and all future contracts. These companies can
write legislation for national governments already. Let's keep up a fight against international, unsupported rules like this.
Cheers
