Dear NPOC Colleagues,
At the NPOC audio conference meeting held on April 10th, 2012, the following
NPOC Executive Committee members were designated to represent NPOC on the NCSG
Policy Committee, replacing current interim appointees Amber Sterling and Alain
Berranger:
- Judy Branzelle, Chair, NPOC Policy Committee
Judy Branzelle is General Counsel for Goodwill Industries International Inc, a
non-profit membership organization with 165 members in North America, and 14
other affiliates in 13 countries. Goodwill members share a common mission of
assisting people with disabilities and other disadvantaging conditions to
obtain jobs and job-training. Goodwill is a founding member of NPOC, and Judy
serves on the NPOC Executive Committee. Judy is a former Attorney-Advisor for
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is a part of the International
Trademark Association leadership serving on the Famous Marks Committee this
year, and the Internet Committee last year. She was a speaker on intellectual
property for the American Marketing Association, and the Association of Society
Executives, and is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Non-Profit
Committee.
- Lori Schulman, Vice Chair, NPOC
Lori is the General Counsel at ASCD and represents the Water Environment
Research Foundation on NPOC. In addition to her work at ASCD, Lori is the
sole proprietor of Schulman Legal Services, PLLC, where she counsels small
businesses and nonprofit organizations in trademarks, copyrights, Internet,
domain names and general business matters. She is a former board member of the
International Trademark Association and former advisor to the Public Interest
Registry. She also served as counsel for the Water Environment Research
Foundation, AOL and March of Dimes and is a former attorney-advisor for the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is currently a member of INTA's newly
formed Nonprofit Committee and a volunteer for the Pro Bono Partnership.

develops programs, products, and services essential to the way educators learn,
teach, and lead. ASCD has 160,000 members in 148 countries: ASCD also has
affiliates in Canada, Singapore, Japan and Trinidad/Tobago that work
collaboratively as part of the ASCD community to foster common values and goals.
