Dear Eduardo,
Thank you for sending this document. To answer your question I tried to put
myself as someone who will receive thr survey and will have to answer it.

To be very honest the context and the purpose of this survey is not really
clear. So if the purpose is not clear it makes it difficult to check if the
questions are relevant or even to undestand their meaning, let say to
answer thrm.

I have to suppose that the questions are relevant so because the people who
prepare the survey know and understand context and purpose. Unfortunatelly
because of the lack of background information I cannot follow the logics
from one question to another.

As a general point I would like to add that I have difficulties to talk
capacity building/development and just answering questions about trainings.

Maybe I should not answer this kind of questions when just awaked but....

Dear all,



I hope you arrived meanwhile all safe back home or wherever you had to go
after ICANN 45, Toronto. With this email I like to provide you with the a
short update of the 2 Toronto WG meetings.



During the ICANN Academy meeting in Toronto on 17 October 2012 it has been
agreed to make an assessment on the development needs for individual
participants in the SOs, ACs, SGs and constituencies. A drafting team
volunteered to develop a survey to be sent out to applicable ICANN groups.
It will include questions which will build a foundation for the future
effort of this working group. The first draft of the survey was discussed
and modified during the second informal meeting on Friday 19 October 2012
and is attached to this email.



Once the survey is evaluated by the WG, it will be sent to ICANN
Communications for a quick review and comments and then sent to the
applicable leaders. We will give them around 1 month to reply to this
survey. As such, we should have the results by the end of November.



The following community members have volunteered with drafting the initial
version of the Survey.

·         Yaovi Atohoun

·         Hong Xue

·         YJ Park

·         Sandra Hoferichter



A wiki workspace, where you can find the agreed timeline and also the
