Dear Rinalia,

I'm so glad we will have you on the panel. Your experience in this field is
very broad and will serve the session objective well.

Thank you for your prompt response and your thoughts on the design, which I
think are very relevant and I readely agree with your arguments and
proposals.

The objective of the session is as you state and your title suggestion is
interesting and fine with me. Others on the NPOC team for this Session will
have their views.

I want the audience to realize there is quite a body of knowledge about the
MS Process and it would be useful if ICANNers had a sense of that. So,
hearing from a specialist from outside ICANN will be useful in that regard
(I'm thinking of approaching Fred Carden of IDRC. What do you think? He is
based in Ottawa and IDRC will probably fund his trip to Toronto). Of course
the focus will be on improving the ICANN MS model as it is practiced today
and this is where your cross-community suggestion is critical. But let's
remember this will not be the first and last session at ICANN on the MS
Process.

I strongly agree with your cross-community suggestion on the panel
composition. We should strive for that. I have read the R3 paper and find
it comprehensive and inspiring and an excellent reference document for
starting these discussions.

We should reach out to Evan and Jean-Jacques. I do want you to know that I
have already reached out to ALAC to be a co-organizer but Olivier felt it
would be too much for the full plate ALAC already has for Toronto. So NPOC
will organize, but not co-organizing with ALAC does not prevent
collaboration on substance with Evan and Jean-Jacques forefront.

Do you want to approach Evan and Jean-Jacques or is it best I and
Mari-laure do?

I welcome your continued input as we fine-tune the preparations for this
session.

Marie-laure will need a picture and a short bio for the promotional
material. She may have other requirements.

Best and looking forward to our working together on this.

I take this opportunity to remind you NPOC works very transparently and
npoc@xxxxxxxxx (the email list of the Executive Committe of NPOC) is
publically archived and accessible to anyone. Any personal or sensitive or
confidential information should not be included in any email copied to
npoc@xxxxxxxxx.

Warm regards, Alain
