Dear Friends

As an incurable addict to all things ICANN and social sector involvement in the
multi stakeholder process, in order to get my next fix, I nominate myself.

Yours

Klaus

Dear NPOC Colleagues,

So great to see: 1) so much participation!; 2) and unanimous support for this
idea.

It is clear to me that protection for all non-profits is likely to be an NPOC
concensus. However, we need to flush out our exact stance on the issue and an
ad-hoc Working Group approach as suggested by Klaus seems appropriate. Let me
know anyone, if you disagree.

To follow-up on Klaus' suggestion then, I suggest we call for quick
self-nominations of two large and two smaller NFP/NGOs not on the EC + anybody
from the EC that wishes to join - please give your 2 to 3 words motivation for
volunteering. If we have more volunteers than needed, Lori and I will designate
the 4 non-EC members. This requires fast track so we can announce our position
in Toronto when I make my usual NPOC activity summary to the GNSO Council live.

If you agree, then let's proceed immediately with nominations.

Cheers, Alain

  Dear Friends

Greetings. It looks very much to me that protection for all non profits
should become one of the policies of NPOC. I would like to hear from anybody
who would have strong objections to this and also those who support. I think
that as a next step the Chair of the NPOC Policy Committee should create a
working group on this and come up with a draft proposal text that we can feed
into the ICANN and other ecosystem as soon as possible.

  Yours

  Klaus

  Dear all
Fully agree that we should seek protection for all non profits. I am still
not in favor of exceptions. Best Caroline
