[npoc] NPOC's latest appointments

Dear NPOC Colleagues,

Following a recent NPOC call for volunteers and evaluation of nominations
by Lori Schulman, Klaus Stoll and the undersigned, I am pleased to announce
the following appointments, which were unanimous:

1. Program Committee, Chair: Marie-laure Lemineur from the Center for
Study, Analysis and Training in Human Rights (CECADH), Costa Rica, Central
America. She will formally join the Executive Committee of NPOC as of
October 8, 2012;
2. Program Committee, 1st Vice-Chair: Poncelet Ileleji from YMCA of The
Gambia, West Africa;
3. Program Committee, 2nd Vice-Chair: Olivier Kouami from the Institut des
Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication pour le Développement,
Togo, Afrique de l'Ouest.

Poncelet has also volunteered to act as NPOC's Membership Committee,
Co-Chair for Africa. His main responsibility in that role will be to
increase NPOC's outreach to Anglophone Africa and to support Klaus in
various membership drives in that very large part of the world.

Olivier has also volunteered to as NPOC's Membership Committee, Co-Chair
for Africa. His main responsibility in that role will be to increase NPOC's
outreach to Francophone Africa and to support Klaus in various membership
drives in that very large part of the world.

Please join me in sending warmest congratulations to Marie-laure, Poncelet
and Olivier.

Amber, could you please annouce these appointments on the NPOC website,
when you have a minute away from your job and studies? Andrei, could you
please do the same thing on the NPOC wiki?

Marie-laure, Poncelet, Olivier: please send your pictures to Amber and
Andrei for insertion in the announcements.

I take the opportunity to inform you that Poncelet and two YMCA of the
Gambia's Board Members will be joining our NPOC delegation in Toronto. That
means that our delegation will now number 7 NPOC members. That is a record
and I'm sure other NPOC members will be there, but I have not been informed
of their attendance. If you are in that situation, please drop a note to
NPOC-Voice or to me directly  to let me know.
