Colleagues 

Please find attached an updated straw poll indicator table which shows the 
results of our meeting this morning. Please use this chart and the text which 
was provided in your information pack in your constituency meetings tomorrow to 
explain the work of the Task Force. I will be attending all of the constituency 
meetings tomorrow and will be available to answer any questions your colleagues 
may have.

It would be helpful if the constituencies could come back as soon as possible 
with "pending" positions moved to agreed constituency positions. After that, I 
will incorporate the table into the body of the draft Task Force Report along 
with any amended text the group derives.

Whatever happens, please advise me of your constituency's progress as I am 
proceeding with writing the draft Task Force Report on the following timeline.

20 December 2006 Submission of pending constituency statements on draft policy 
recommendations
20 December 2006 1 February 2007 Completion of outstanding work on TOR5 Uses of 
registry data
16 January 07 TF working call on TOR 5
23 January 07 TF working call on any outstanding work from TORs
8 February 2007 Release draft Task Force Report to Task Force
15 February 2007 TF conference call to confirm TF report for distribution to 
Council
22 Feb 2007 GNSO Council meeting to consider draft Task Force Report -- note 
that this topic will need to be added to the Council's formal agenda
25 Feb 2007 Post draft Task Force Report for public comment period
18 March 2007 Public comment period closes and incorporation of public comments 
and constituency impact statements into report
27 March 2007 GNSO Council Lisbon meeting to sign off final Task Force Report

Please note that, when confirming the program, we need to allow for a 21 day 
public comment period on the draft Task Force Report; we need to allow for 
internal staff discussion on the formal posting of the Reports and we need to 
ensure that the "additional work" on ToR 5 on registry data is completed within 
this timeframe. The ICANN office is closed between Christmas and New Year and 
no work will take place during the holiday period. Lastly, I will be having a 
much needed annual leave break during which my family and I will be celebrating 
some very significant family events. I have arranged staff cover until 10 
January when I will be back in the office.
