<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Verdana,
Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size=2>Rather than being concerned about
continued litigation with VeriSign, ICANN should be more concerned
about the gigantic class-action lawsuit that will certainly
be filed against ICANN by the millions of individuals, companies,
and organizations, large and small, who will be affected by this
self-serving monopolistic agreement, should it go through. Perhaps
ICANN should read from their own webpages, where they describe ICANN's
role: 'As a private-public partnership, ICANN is dedicated to
preserving the operational stability of the Internet; to promoting
competition; to achieving broad representation of global Internet
communities; and to developing policy appropriate to its mission
through bottom-up, consensus-based processes." This agreement, amended
or not, certainly does NOT fit with ICANN's self-described
function, nor is it in the best interest of the public which ICANN is
purported to serve.</FONT></P>
