Request to extend the 24 day comment period on the proposed Verisign agreement

Dear members of the ICANN Board and Staff:

The 24 day comment period on the proposed VeriSign
agreement must be extended in order to properly enable
input from ICANN's accredited worldwide At-Large
Structures (many of whom might have difficulty reading
and communicating in English).

Allow me to remind you of your obligation under the
bylaws:

"Section 7. TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTS

As appropriate and to the extent provided in the ICANN
budget, ICANN shall facilitate the translation of
final published documents into various appropriate
languages." 

As the .com namespace is utilized on a global basis,
it is appropriate that ICANN should make every
possible effort to have the proposed .com registry
agreement translated into a large number of languages,
and it should then extend the public comment period
accordingly.
