In support of the settlement

Dear ICANN Board members,
   
  Approve the ICANN-VeriSign settlement. It's good for the ICANN community, 
industry and it's good for you, the ICANN Board members. It's good for the 
ICANN community because it proves you can manage your own house.
   
  That's an important competency to show with the WSIS process focused on 
Internet governance. It's good for industry, both domain name sellers and 
businesses, because it means that VeriSign won't unilaterally introduce 
services that either cause disruptions or cause controversies. And finally, its 
good for you, ICANN Board. Unless you want VeriSign suing you and want to roll 
the dice in court that you actually have the authority you think you have.
   
  Approve the deal and lets's move on.
