Dear Tijani:

Thanks for taking a fast first look at the latest document.  We tried to 
capture all the edits and comments flagged in the shifting formats and timing 
of responses in the last set of edits.  My apologies if we missed something in 
the conversion of the last document.  Looking back I note specific references 
to your thoughts in Comment #s 3, 34 and 35 that still need to be addressed, 
but if we missed others that were not fixed or otherwise addressed in the 
editing rounds, can you please re-note them in this round of review?

Thanks to you and all the WG members for your patience and goodwill in this 
review and editing process.  It is a real challenge to have so many editors, 
but it is perhaps the best of several imperfect method options during this 
compressed timeframe. I am hopeful that as we now have a stable versioning 
process, that the WG will be able to focus on the text of a limited amount of 
specific issues and address them in the last few calls of the Working Group. 
Time permitting, one final section-by-section review next week may be in order.

Hello, JAS WG members,

Attached please find the most recent draft of the JAS WG Final Report, both as 
a redline and a clean copy.  This is the "20110824 (RHv2SGv1)" draft.

At this point, kindly base any comments regarding the text on this draft.  
(Thanks very much for being careful with the draft numbers.)

PROGRESS IN THE ATTACHED DRAFT

In this draft, you will see:

   1)  Incorporation of the recent e-mailed comments/edits from Alain B., 
Andrew M. and Tijani B.  Many thanks for these comments.

   2)  Incorporation of the Tuesday WG call discussions re:

            -  The SARP composition

            -  Support recovery

            -  Bundling

            -  Staggered fees
   3)  Addition (or extensive rewriting) of the following sections to the 
Report:

            -  Introduction (p. 4)

                      -  Levels of Agreement within the JAS WG

            -  When Should Support Be Offered? (p. 6)

            -  Appendix 1:  JAS WG Background (p. 39)

                      -  Overview

                      -  JAS WG Objective and Operation

                      -  Key Records and Interim Reports

                      -  Key Milestones

           -  Appendix 2:  Glossary (p. 45)



The editing of certain sections of the Report (especially new sections listed 
above) is still rough.  We are in the process of working on this.



THIS FRIDAY'S JAS WG CALL



During the upcoming call on Friday, 26 August, we will be reviewing the "Funds 
and Foundation" section of this draft (pp. 6-15 of the attached draft).



On this same topic, please let us know if there are any specific issues or 
questions you would like staff to research prior to the call.
