Here are my comments. I have not had nearly as much time to do this as I hoped (lost power for 10 hours yesterday).

Hello, JAS WG members,

Attached please find the most recent draft of the JAS WG Final Report, both as a redline and a clean copy. This is the "20110826 (RHv2SGv2)" draft.

Kindly base any comments at this point on this draft. And thanks for being careful regarding the draft numbers.

PROGRESS IN THE ATTACHED DRAFT

In this draft, you will see:

1) Incorporation of the points made on Friday's call regarding the "Funds and Foundation" section (p. 10)

   2) The rewriting of the following sections:
            - Introduction (p. 4)

            - Support Should Be Offered from the First Round Onward (p. 5)

            - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) (p. 34)

- Appendix 1: Levels of WG Agreement Referred to Within This Report (p. 39)

            - Appendix 2: JAS WG Background (p. 40)

           - Appendix 3: Glossary (p. 47)

THIS TUESDAY'S JAS WG CALL

During the upcoming call on Tuesday, 30 August, we will aim to review the six rewritten sections listed under number 2 above.

Because this is a total of about 25 pages, it would likely be helpful if WG members could read the sections before Tuesday's call. Also before the call, you may wish to enter your comments on the wiki page set up for this purpose: <https://community.icann.org/display/jaswg/JAS+WG+Final+Report+--+30+Aug+2011+comments>https://community.icann.org/display/jaswg/JAS+WG+Final+Report+--+30+Aug+2011+comments.

Note: The paragraph numbering in the Appendices does contain some anomalies, so won't be as useful as in other sections. However, the Appendices contain enough subheadings and other "markers" that indicating the text about which you're commenting shouldn't be difficult.

Many thanks, as always,

Seth
