I have the same understanding. Once the application
window closes, the name of the string applied for,
and some information not considered confidential
will be released on each application.

Is there a possibility to find out if any applications have been filed
so far with community interest and requesting support?

I don't think ICANN is in a position to reveal that kind of information at the moment. It's my understanding that they can't reveal data about any applications received as long as the application window is open.

Hi,

This report was made available by Scott Pinzon, Director of Marketing and Outreach at ICANN.

Dear Chris and Avri,

We received your inquiries dated 14 February asking what has been done to make developing countries aware of the Applicant Support Program.

ICANN’s Communications Team has compiled a detailed account of the outreach done so far via social media, global press relations, activities on ICANN’s website, live events, and more. Please find it attached.

Thank you for the opportunity to list our efforts to date. We have been working hard to realize the inclusive vision of helping worthy but under-financed parties run a public interest TLD. We look forward to collaborating further with the ICANN community as we raise awareness of this important program.

Best Regards,
