Summary of Public Comments - SSAC Review Draft Terms of Reference

Three comments were received on the online comment forum on the Terms of 
Reference for the SSAC Review.

* One comment lists a number of perceived failings of SSAC and concludes "the 
'Draft Terms of Reference for the Review' should include the possibility of 
concluding that the SSAC as an experiment should be concluded and alternatives 
considered". The Terms of Reference allow scope for this question to be raised 
and the reviewer (when appointed) will be made aware of these comments.

* Another comment questioned whether ICANN really had "several stability and 
security structures". The language of the Terms of Reference has been altered 
to more accurately reflect the intention of this statement that there is now 
significant capability in the ICANN community.

* The other was directed at acknowledging the international role of ICANN in 
security, especially in developing countries. This comment will be forwarded to 
the reviewer (when appointed).

The SSAC Review Working Group would like to thank all those who took the time 
to submit comments.  These comments will be incorporated into a final Terms of 
Reference to be submitted to the Board Governance Committee in the next few 
days.
