I think the $2000 cost might run into some objections, though I personally dont have a problem with it. If you want to be in the .mail group and have your emails taken more seriously, then $2000 would seem like a bargain to me. I like the idea of the .mail domain, though it would not initially cut down any spam traffic, it would make it easier to get to the legimate/important messages first. As it would catch on (hopefully), and more and more folks went to the .mail domain, it would be even easier to seperate the good mail from the trash mail.
