anti-trust regulators

icann should not issue .mobi without the prior consent of anti-trust regulators in 
europe and the united states.

allowing nokia, microsoft and vodafone to control a mobile TLD will certainly lead to 
abuse, lower innovation and competition.

if icann issues this .mobi without the prior consent of anti-trust regulators and 
mobi-jv engages in anti-competitive behavior, won't icann be setting itself up for 
major lawsuits? and how will icann justify in court that it issued .mobi (a legal 
monopoly) to microsoft, nokia and vodafone without obtaining the green light from 
anti-trust regulators?

it makes most sense for icann to put this application on hold until the anti-trust 
regulators have had time to look into it very seriously.
