To Ritva Siren of Nokia Corporation -

It is very clear from all the examples you give in your email entitled 'Please, allow consumers choices' that your real community is the users of mobile phones.

If this is the case, why does the mobi jv structure only take into account the interests of the investors and service providers rather than those of the mobile users or individual .mobi registrants who are mobi-jv's 'real community'?

This 'real community' is not represented either on the mobi-jv board, the mag or the pag. Could you please explain why?

Furthermore, if mobile users have such a need for a .mobi as you suggest, how can you explain the very low level of registrations you forecast in the business section of your application? You are forecasting 2.2 billion mobile users by 2007 but only 2 million .mobi registrations, which represents about 0.1% of mobile users.

Either there is a huge contradiction in what you are telling us because you have not thought the issue through or the real game plan is for mobile operators to register their clients at the third level such as 'ritva(at)vodafone.mobi', in which case the only justification for .mobi is ring fencing customers by mobile operators.

Finally, I find it ironic that you have entitled your comment on this forum 'Please, allow consumers choices'. What choices will customers be left with once Nokia, Microsoft and Vodafone control the .mobi TLD?
