Ms. Hoover,
I think Ms. Hoover makes an excellent point here in pointing out the huge
difference between publishing and publicizing. It is huge. On the net one is
almost a concealment and the other is a valid attempt to inform.
I note here http://www.icann.org/general/staff.html a complete absence of a
staff member that could even remotely refer to publicist. This is an
intentional omission, no corporation could be so dull as to not have a
marketing arm.

I think part of the ICANN process of adding a new TLD should be the
publishing and publicizing the availability of a new list to those that
persist in using a hard coded scheme. But certainly every opportunity
should be used to reinforce the most appropriate method as Thomas
suggests.

It might be helpful to publish the current list and follow through on
Thomas's suggestion. Also, when the list is updated, it would be good
to highlight the updates so that it would be easy to identify needed
changes in code.
