Transfers WG Conference Call 6 June 2007 3pm EDT (1900 UTC) Participants: Karen Lentz (ICANN Staff, Registry Liaison) Barbara Steele (gTLD Registries Constituency) Jon Nevett (Registrar Constituency) Tom Keller (Registrar Constituency) Tim Ruiz (Registrar Constituency) A brief overview of the current documents was presented. However, it was agreed that due to the lack of participation on the call it would be best to postpone any further discussion. It was suggested that work continue on the list. The following are the outcomes of the call: 1. All WG members should review issues 30-38 in the TransfersChart-19jan06-2 document and, before the next call, submit to the list any comments regarding the noted Next Steps for those issues. The goal is to identify those issues that need only clarification of existing policy (through advisory or amendment) and those that may need new policy work. 2. All WG members should review the Draft-Transfer-Advisory-24jan07 and DenialClarifications-28mar07 documents and submit comments to the list before the next call. The advisories and clarifications in these documents are based on the work of the WG as noted in the issues chart. 3. Tom expressed some concern that there were too many issues to consider and that we should indentify key areas of concern to focus on. Karen noted that many of the issues were interrelated and that there could be further consolidation of some the issues. These relationships can be further noted in the issues chart, and consolidated as they are transferred into the final report. 4. Karen suggested that the Constituencies as a whole be notified that the WG is once again in progress, hopefully garnering further participation. 5. Barbara noted that the RyC has reviewed the current WG documents and provided feedback. Barbara will submit that to the WG list. Finally, this was not discussed on the call but Ross had requested that the WG consider how the use of EPP has changed the policy environment around domain name portability and what if any additional recommendations we might make given our operational experience with the protocol and policy. If you have any comments or observations to make regarding this topic, please do so on the list prior to the next call. Next call: 13 June 2007 3pm EDT (1900 UTC) for 90 minutes.
