Hi,
The report seems to be comprehensive touching the relevant travel details and
proposed travel expansion for constituencies like GNSO and GAC which is a very
positive indication. On the prospective of GAC especially where sometimes due
to economical constraints a member from less developed region is unable to
attend and present the government view on ICANN policies. Another major support
that ICANN has started to provide is in shape of virtual participation support
(Remote Participation) which to me is an excellent platform to those who may
not be able to physically attend each meeting, more focus towards improving
this type of participation may be continued. Another submission would be to
include the visa cost support for the fellowship participants who in some cases
pay around 100 USD to fulfill the visa application process which they tend to
adjust while receiving the 300USD post-meeting stipend. ICANN fellowship
program is a real success and encouragement initiative for developing countries
citizens which not only open a learning window for them but helps afterwards to
the ICANN global outreach, awareness and policy development work something that
I have experienced during my two fellowship programs at ICANN.
