Dear Mr. Schwartz:
As if domains are not already enough, the Internet Corporation for
Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is now considering giving pornographers yet
another one!
ICANN is studying the possibility of giving the pornography industry their own
domain. ICANN would ask the pornographers to voluntarily move to the new triple
X domain which would contain nothing but pornography. There would be NO LAW TO
FORCE THEM to the new triple X domain. ICANN would depend on the good character
and integrity of the pornographers to be considerate of others, including our
children!!!
In addition to having the triple X domain, the pornographers could (and would)
continue sending out billions of pornographic images on their other existing
domains. As bad as pornography is on the Internet now, it would be infinitely
worse with the triple X domain. The establishment of a triple X domain would
give legitimacy to the pornographers.
And consider this irony: Stuart Lawley, the chairman of the company that would
operate the triple X registry, had the audacity to ask for a meeting with
officials at the Department of Commerce to show them how the triple X domain
would make the Internet a "more family-friendly environment"!!!
Don't you people that work at ICANN, have families composed of Innocent
children? Doesn't it boggles your mind that once of these precious children
might one day innocently find these porno sights right there in the comfort of
your own homes?
Why is it the ICANN in persistent on doing evil instead of doing good? May
it be that ICANN employees are all for pornography instead of family values?
Would you be so kind as to answer these questiones?
Sincerely,
Ed and Julie Zaccari
