Comment on .xxx proposal

As both a parent and web site developer my view is that the proposal 
to create a new Sponsored Top-Level Domain .xxx is merely an attempt 
by a commercial organisation to create a highly profitable business 
from a service that will be low cost to them but protentailly 
generate huge revenues.

This is well argued by Seth Finkelstein at

If the proposal is to proceed .xxx should be administered by a not 
for profit organisation not based in the United States with any 
surplus generated used to sponsor academic research on the effects of 
the use of pornography.
