.xxx top level domain is a very bad idea
I would like to suggest that .xxx is a very bad idea and I would vote NO if it were up to me. Everybody knows that it is all about creating a new porn empire and not about protecting children. If anything, it makes finding porn even easier for children. If you truly want to protect children from online porn, it would be betters to make a new top level domain such as .kids or .safe and then parents and schools could filter out everything else... and that would truly be the best way to protect our kids from sexually explicit content and everything else that our kids should not be viewing over the internet. My child is not allowed to use the internet unsupervised but I would feel better if the .kids or .safe idea (or something similar) was used so that I could restrict his online access to that only. This .xxx idea is terrible and I feel that whoever came up with it must be lining thier pockets from an emerging porn empire. Thank you. -William Smith, concerned parent |
