Criteria in the Selection of New TLDs

________________________________________________________________________

Greetings

The ICANN Board is trying to improve the system by adding new gTLDs. It would be in the best interest of the public to have an open vote, rather than closed door meetings. The general public could be involved via an Internet vote.

This would allow ICANN to be set in history as allowing people to truly have a global vote.

There could be two categories to vote on.

General Category
Seven extensions should be used to vote on with three extensions.

1.    .kids
2.    .law
3.    .art
4.    .faith
5.    .politics
6.    .games
7.    .family

Adult Category
Three extensions to be used to vote for one extension.

1.    .adult
2.    .xxx
3.    .smut

By adding an adult category, the International community would then have the ability to outlaw pornagraphy unless the site is hosted using an extension above. Nations that desire to ban pornagraphy in their country can then simply shut down all sites ending with the adult extension.

This would help people against nudity embrace the web.
