The only reason to add more TLD's is to increase NSI's bank account. The don't care about the Internet community at all. They haven't cared about following the appropriate RFC's regarding name registration for years now. The whole thing is a scam. More TLD's will only confuse the average user, "Should I go to microsoft.com or microsoft.corp?". What I'd like to see is SLD's (second level domains) under .com. For example microsoft.software.com. Then companies with similar names in different industries can co-exist. If more TLD's are added, they will all be registered in a week by people wishing to protect their trademarks, and we will be back at the same spot with people complaining about the lack of available names.
