Software.com IS a second level domain. microsoft.software.com is a THIRD level domain. This theory outlined in the previous posting looks good on paper but is unworkable in practice. The owner of a third level domain has NO RIGHTS whatsoever - they are completely at the mercy of the SLD owner. Been there, done that, don't have the domain to show for it. Many times.               -- The probability of human error in a complex system is a constant.
