I second the last part of your comment....more people are expecting to use their
.web domain for an online business (I suspect)....or identity if you will...it was
an obvious choice to secure a generic .web name for my new venture. This does
not infringe on anyone and will NOT cause confusion to the dot com equivalent...The
dot web part sets it a part...I would kindly ask ICANN to have the vision to approve
this domain name to the root servers, not because "that it should be (bad policy)
but because of it's "legitimacy" as an acceptable domain (by most accounts)..This
should be a requirement (in these terms) to become a new gTLD....
