Your argument is weak and fails to convince.  Fact is, every camera store in my town goes by its own name.  Yes, they are all camera stores but they all have different names, unless they are franchised. As for ccTLDs, their country specificity does not preclude their global indexical nature.  Keeping it simple works when giving orders, not when considering something as delicately complex and multi-faceted as the Internet.
