Subject: ICANN ... Foot In Mouth Disease

It is none of ICANN's business if John Frangie has one job, or ten jobs.  ICANN doesn't seem to care that Ken Stubbs moonlights at Afilias.  Most or all of ICANN board members are employees elsewhere. Would IOD's application be more acceptable to ICANN if IOD's CEO worked for Sun, Intel, or Cisco?  Give us a break, please.

Just because ICANN can't understand how anyone from an unrelated field can be part of a viable registry, doesn't mean it can't happen.  ICANN obviously understands little about what makes a small business grow successfully, exponentially.  ICANN seems little concerned about customer abuse by NSI, Register.com, faults with the Afilias application, and too concerned with the private lives of those who might compete with NSI, Afilias, Stubbs, etc.

The CEO of IOD obviously understands hard work, success, the value of a good gameplan, the law, and sweat-equity (something ICANN board members obviously do not understand).

As far as I'm concerned, ICANN owes Mr. Frangie an apology + .WEB.

Perhaps we should look into the private lives of the ICANN board members, and question their positions with ICANN, if they ever held a non tech-related job.  Any of you ICANN board members ever work at McDonalds?  If so, we don't think you should work for ICANN.  Home Depot?  You're outta there.  Ever drive a limo for a living?  If so, you have no business involved with the internet hierarchy.

The ICANN board is proving itself arrogant, oblivious to the needs of internet end users, judgemental, and self-righteous.

ICANN's Logic:  If your CEO is or was a successful car dealer, he/she couldn't possibly be part of an effective registry.

That logic relects the lack of understanding and paranoia of the ICANN board members.
