Chris, If I were there (I'm on the east coast, unfortunately)
I would most definitely personally approach each board member. They wouldn't be able
to get through a crowd without listening to me or setting an appointment to talk
with me. I would also set up a small booth outside of the
meeting, whatever it took, to bring this matter to the attention of all attendees. We
simply cannot let a group with such power as ICANN proceed in this manner. No governing
body in our history has gotten away with this type of behavior for long, and I don't
think it should be allowed on a global scale, either. I've already contacted Michael
Froomkin but, according to him, he is swamped with another project. I will continue
trying to find other high-profile Internet-related attorneys and media to get involved
