PART of the web SHOULD be separated by geographical location.
Large companies that service nationwide should have broad domains. There should be
a seperation between sites that are world/nation wide and sites that may be local
to one particular area. "Joe Georgia Shrimp Shack" should not be a .com or .food
or anything broad like that. They are only located in Georgia, that should have a
.ga or something to that effect. It would be easy to document and index those sites
for search engines, state's could have a list of all registered .state domains. Things
like sears and MacDonald's should be left to the .com's
The one thing wrong with
the web is inforamtion architecture, lets kick it in the butt! start at the most
important thing!
