If there is one positive statement that can be made about the last couple of decades, it is that the protections that come with the freedoms we enjoy add merit to living in the United States. Everyone doesn't enjoy those freedoms and I'm sorry for those that don't. But the .kids application provides a space on the internet that is  A CHOICE FOR RESTRICTION, that does not preclude any other choice, not a RESTRICTION FROM CHOICE. Parents who are in the user group of interested parents will know from experience and browsing what the content is, and can judge for themselves. I just don't want to end up in court some day watching some kid's life go down the tubes because he was given no directionalized encouragement. All that "freedom" won't do him much good then.
