The evaluation report concerning the application by I.O.D. was quite damning. The
only reason they are still in the race ( according to ICANN )is because of the favourable
comments of support for them on the public forum. Is it realistic to believe that
ICANN will have a total change of opinion about I.O.D. and award them the .WEB tld
after all, when you consider what the evaluation team have said about I.O.D. so far.
Even
if they do look at I.O.D's application more closely (and have a complete change of
mind??? ), wouldn't this cause immense damage to ICANN's credibility?
Legally,
wouldn't "the knives be out for ICANN" from other companies, if I.O.D was awarded
the .WEB Tld when you consider initially I.O.D. was almost kicked out of the evaluation
process ?
I really do hope I.O.D does prevail, but it doesn't look good to me,
but then again I'm no expert....
