You cannot change the fact that
parents do have control over what their children access, even if you personally do
not agree with what they are allowed to access, or whether or not they will or will
not access it. To argue against that denies the existence of parents at all. Since
some parents want this, and as it does not exclude the rights of other parents to
access whatever they want, for them or on behalf of their kids, you must accept their
right to choose that. If not, you are preventing them from claiming their rights
to parent as they choose. Participation in the .kids content will be as always on
the internet, a choice. More choices do not delimit growth. The internet will
grow and change according to these norms at any rate, without specific dependence
on .kids and its activities. I would argue that the internet is already biased in
favor of adults and that children need a green space on it simply to define a piece
of real estate separate from the mutltitude. For those that cannot handle the efforts
of parents to guide their children as they wish, you may voice your objections, on
the internet or in person, but you can't revoke their rights to assemble what materials
or activities they would put together for their own families. To say that .kids is
censorship is untrue, denying .kids is the censorship.
