Do we have to wait a generation
to see the statistics? Doesn't it seem odd that people can't drive until a certain
age, take medication without a prescription, or smoke or drink until a mandated age
of consent, but those who would make the entire internet a potential red light zone
don't see the speed bump coming? This is the first generation of internet kids,
let's make sure they don't come of age until their parents, peers, and society are
ready to receive them on equal terms. Wouldn't it be horrible if fifty years from
now substance addiction, criminal behavior, sexual deviance, apathy, immorality,
and general disregard for society were proven to have been connected to premature
exposure to a wholly adult internet? These images and interconnections pave the way
for a child's development, and for those souls who believe porn and extreme adult
images are lost on kids, I and the rest of the country will be seeing you in court
trying to bail out your kids six to ten years from now with a stunned expression
on your faces, wondering how you got there from here. -hsh
