Dear
ICANN,
As you may know, we have recently filed a lawsuit
in Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida. I have attached a copy
of our complaint for your review. What
Verisign has done is no different than if the Department of Transportation were
to force cars only on to exits were there were they had sponsored hotels and
restaurants.
I would also
like to bring to your attention the following:
Sitefinder was
launched a mere three (3) hours after Verisign reached an agreement with the FTC:
were they agreed to
report ALL their marketing efforts to the FTC for 5
years.
It also comes at the
heels of ICANN's approval of the WLS
Verisign now
has the ability to monitor and see which domains will monetize above $6.00 a
year or if it is a WLS domain above $24 and either register those domains to
themselves, or simply suppress them, examples of this are; 1.com, and 2.com They are
already engaged in domain suppression. An example of this is
hello---.com Supposedly, because of the Multi Lingual domain conflicts,
domains ending in dashes or domains containing more than two (2) dashes in the
first three (3) spaces of the domain name are suppressed. Magically,
however, they seem NOT to conflict
with Sitefinder. Verisign at its sole discretion may suppress domains for
other reasons as well. This can have serious implications.
We stand ready to assist you in any way we can. You can read more
