Firstly, the summary at :

does a better job than I can do of summarizing the technical issues.
In terms of the cost to me of the SiteFinder change, I've had to
take the time at both work and home to upgrade BIND so that our
existing anti-spam protections would continue to operate.
Please force Verisign to remove the wildcards from .com and .net.
