Dear Sir/Madam,

As VeriSign are so clearly interested in taking this unilateral action
regardless of the consequences and having being asked to suspend the
wildcard 'service' for discussion refused shows show quite clearly that
VeriSign are more interested in their own profit than the general health of
the internet. I appreciate it would be hard for Verisign to back down at
this point and that it gets harder each day it refuses, which is why
something must be done about this problem quickly. This immature and greedy
stance by VeriSign underlines my call that VeriSign are not a suitable
operator for the global .COM / .NET registry and that they should be
stripped of their rights to operate these registries and the registries
should be re-delegated to a more suitable party, with the new registry
undertaking strengthened agreements specifying that the new registry will
not take unilateral decisions such as this.

The registry operators are in a privileged position which they should not
exploit it for their own commercial gain. What VeriSign are doing is
distrustful and is clearly and blatantly unfair competition.

I have signed an agree with the petition at
