Adobe Connect chat transcript for Monday 04 November 2013:

Lars Hoffmann:Welcome to the IRTP Part D Meeting, Monday 4 November 2013

Paul Diaz (Public Interest Registry):Hello all. I likely will have to drop
off this call early

Paul Diaz (Public Interest Registry):PS - great pic, Mikey

Avri Doria:both voices soud like under water to me.

Avri Doria:but i am on AC

  Graeme Bunton:Hooray!

Bob Mountain:Has an invite been sent?

  Lars Hoffmann:http://buenosaires48.icann.org/en/schedule/wed-irtp-d

Nathalie Peregrine:Remote Participation details for BA will be sent out
later this week

  Mike O'Connor:also a history

Paul Diaz (Public Interest Registry):I believe Barbara K plans to dial-in to
the BA session

Bladel:A bit faint, but I can hear you.

Nathalie Peregrine:Rob Golding has joiend the AC room

Volker Greimann:define recalitrant. it may be the case that the registrar
merely sees the chances of prevailing in the TRDP differently

Nathalie Peregrine:Barbara Knight has joine dthe AC room

Barbara Knight-RySG:I have also joined the call. Thanks Nathalie.

Volker Greimann:radical thought (bordering on the heretic) : could such
issues not be better included in the UDRP?

Avri Doria:or even URS which has lighter weight.

Kristine Dorrain:That would be super radical b/c the UDRP only deals with
brandowners

  Kristine Dorrain::)

Volker Greimann:well avri, the urs has no transfer element

Avri Doria:then again if they want it back, needs to be more UDRPish

Avri Doria:exactly thought of it as i pressed return

Avri Doria:i was wrong and backed off.

Kristine Dorrain:I think it would/could be interesting to expore something
more UDRP-like for registrants that do not own brands.

  Volker Greimann:indeed

Nathalie Peregrine:Kevin Erdman has joined the AC room

Avri Doria:i do nto understand this proposal

Avri Doria:we are going to change the TDRP, but not change it?

Avri Doria:seems a problem to me that if a registrant has her name hijacked,
she them needs to pay big bucks before she even gets a hearing.

Kevin Erdman:Avri, I think the first step is to change the form but not the
substance of the TDRP

Kevin Erdman:The second step would be to propose substantive changes

Avri Doria:ok, clean it up and then deltas. got it.

Volker Greimann:Avri: going to court can be much more expensive and that
currentl is the only real recourse

Avri Doria:Volker, nonetheless - while thinko fo remedies we should not
compare against worst case, but should think in terms of fairness.

Avri Doria:apologies, i have to drop off now to get to eht first IETF
session. also for the BA session, there are conflicting sessisons, so it may
be difficult to get a big audience.

Volker Greimann:i may not be here next week

  Rob Golding (Astutium-1471):@avri - good luck :)

  Kristine Dorrain:Thanks James and Mikey!

Rob Golding (Astutium-1471):thanks mikey & james

  Barbara Knight-RySG:Thanks all.

  Bob Mountain:Thanks guys!

  Graeme Bunton: thanks
