No to variable pricing

Particularly when referring to .org domains, generally owned by not-for-profit organizations, the concept of "variable pricing" of their domain names is absurd and seems to be conceived to squeeze blood from a stone. As someone who provides free hosting to upwards of 15 NFP domains, I expect that should a pricing scheme that differs drastically from the last 5+ years is adopted every single one of these NFPs will drop off the 'net. By lifting the price controls that have been in place for years now, Registrars are put into a position of having to decide between what is best for the Internet community as a whole, or what is best for their own bottom line. In my experience, businesses are not qualfied to make that decision - the way that seems to be for more profit in many cases is exactly the opposite.

Driving the entire Internet to those few companies that can afford to enrich the Registrars is NOT for the good of the entire community.
