Subject: A GIS ezine looks at .geo

        I've spent the last two weeks studying the .geo proposal and asking many questions.  The findings are published at:  www.tenlinks.com/mapgis.  I am the editor of the GIS ezine, the GIS Monitor and a ten year veteran of the GIS industry.

My biggest concern is that we simply have not had time to reach consensus - within the geospatial community and without.  Rushing into a decision will, I fear, ensure failure.  I suggest ICANN pass over this recommendation for now.  And, if SRI, or others can bring a larger contingent of support forward in the future, have a second look then.
