Adept Technology, Inc. already designs its
robot controllers with intelligent
data gathering algorithms to aid in maintenance
and remote debugging.

Attaching every robot controller to the internet is
a logical next step to gain immediate access
instead of replying on remote personnel.

The numeric proposal by Group One makes sense and fills
a big need for internet enabled devices.  In addition to
obvious applications like phones, hand-helds,
and automobiles, they are many devices (including Robot controllers)
that could benefit from this simple yet powerful
internet connectability format.
