I see that group one is proposing numeric domain names, for a fee? Can’t you get all the numeric domain names that you want under a .com, .net or .org?

In addition, the approach of assigning a unique numeric domain name to each machine would seem to make things more difficult. For eg. why can’t one domain name be applied to a home residential gateway that networks all the home devices and allows access via a web-based platform rather than assigning a unique domain name to each of those devices.

Also, the idea of incumbent telcos registering domain names relating to telephone numbers is frankly not a very useful idea. What improvement does it bring? Telephone numbers change as you change providers or move, so then you would be required to change your domain name.

Overall, seems like .one TLD would not be useful allocation of the TLD space. There are better proposals on the table.
