        ...therefore, .nom (or .name, .pid, etc.) are not satisfactory concepts because no one wants to manage a constantly updating database (unless there is enough $$$ in it).  But personal identities stored on such a registry will be "lost" or not accessible for the period of time those identities are not modified.  Sure, it's the responsibility of the individual to "upgrade" his/her identity if marriage, religious experience, or whatever has resulted in a new identity.
