While recognizing that the issue of geographic division is a complex one, I would like to emphasize that Africa appears to be a clearly defined continent. Thus, attempts to group it with say the Middle East for instance will just make things more difficult to handle and will certainly hamper the development of the nascent african Internet community. As was suggested by one posting, maybe Icann should just follow the steps of the UN system in that matter. Regards Pierre Dandjinou
