This *does* matter. Africa has more in common with the Caribbean than the Middle East. Put the Middle East with Antarctica if you have to. Lumping together is not acceptable. We ran an article about the politics around this issue in Computers in Africa magazine earlier in the year. (I have written for the magazine, but otherwise have no vested interest).
