As a small business owner, doing business both on and off the web, in my
view this proposal is unreasonable and unfair.
When you register a business name in the offline world, they do not charge
fees on a graduate scale. The fee is consistent across the board for all
businesses.
Why then would we be penalized by a sliding scale for an online business
(domain name). Domain registration should remain as it has been, fair to
everyone.
The registries can find other ways of income generation if needed to
maintain and improve resources for domain name registration If need be raise
the price across the board and keep the playing field even for all.
Discriminating against successful business owners is not an acceptable
approach.
Sincerely,
Jan MacGregor
